“I am Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I have worked in the Mental Health field, since 2001, starting out with teens ages 13-18 and later on adding adults ages 19-80 over the years of my experience.
I have experience in helping teenagers struggling with (self-image/trauma/abuse/academic stress/ low motivation) and adult patients struggling with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorders, Eating Disorders, Mood Disorders, Grief, and Borderline Personality Disorders. I have special interest and training from UMass Amherst, MA in Transgender health care. I am also interested in helping morbidly obese patients, complete the pre evaluation needed for the Bariatric procedures and addressing mental health barriers to successful outcomes post Bariatric procedures.
Counseling styles I commonly use are Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation, crisis management and distress tolerance.”
