Covid-19 Booster Scheduling

Shawnee Health Care only has the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine available at this time. The CDC recommendations allow mixing and matching of COVID-19 vaccines for booster shots.

The CDC Guidelines are as follows:

For individuals who received a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine series, booster shots are recommended for the following groups who completed their initial series at least 6 months ago:

65 years and older
Age 18+ who live in long-term care settings
Age 18+ who have underlying medical conditions
Age 18+ who work or live in high-risk settings

For individuals who received a J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, booster shots are recommended for anyone who is 18 years and older who was vaccinated 2 or more months ago
